TDR

This week we had to decide the topic of research project. Personally I think it's a very difficult decision because I it's the most important project. With this project there are a lot of things that are critical to the future, so you can't choose any topic.
At first I didn't know which topic to choose, none of the list convinced me, so I thought to propose one. I wanted to do it on a topic related to health, 'cause I want to study medicine.
My father, who is a doctor, helped me. We thought about many topics, and finally I decided to do it about the general state of health, related to respiratory function. By a pulsioximetry (to measure the oxygen level in blood) and a peak flow (to measure lung capacity), you can see the health status and then compare. I can also relate it to age, sex and bad habits, and say the most common respiratory diseases.

It's a topic that interests me a lot, and I hope to do a good project.

My dog

The last term I wrote about my cat, but it isn't the only animal I have. I also have a dog.
I had a dog for a long time, but it disappeared and never reappeared again, so it was a very strong blow, and impacted me a lot because it was a dog that I loved so much. Sometime later my parents decided to have a cat, and this helped me a lot.
I never imagined I'd have a dog again, in fact I had thought about it many times, but I thought that my parents didn't want another dog.
The day my parents decided to adopt it, was a surprise. I still remember the moment the woman took off the dog from the cage; I thought that it wasn't for me. Then my mother gave it to me and I picked up the dog in arms. I still didn't believe it.
It's a beautiful dog, great dog. It's the Golden Retriever breed; it has grown a lot since it was a puppy. In April it'll be two years old. It has got a very dark eyes and the nose also. It’s quite large. It has the long gold hair. Whenever I come home it is always there to receive me with the queue moving, it's always enthusiastic, always eager to play. It always needs company, and is sometimes a bit nuisance. It's a very clever dog, and also very wolverine.
The cat and the dog know to live together. They've never fought. At first the cat was a little jealous, but not anymore. I love both in the same way.

Rotten: No Irish, No blacks, No dogs.

A few weeks ago I read a very interesting book, and I decided to talk about it.
The title of the book is No Irish, No Blacks, No dogs. Is an authorized autobiography of the singer of the punk group Sex Pistols, Johnny Rotten, whose real name is John Lydon. The title comes from a poster of one of the motels where the singer stayed during his tour of U.S.A. (he was born in Ireland, so it's curious).
Rotten narrates her life since he was a child until the separation of the Sex Pistols in 1979, in full U.S. tour. While he's telling his life, he also explains the history of the original punk, 'cause Sex Pistols were the forerunners of the movement in the UK. Not only the punk movement, also the philosophy and the ideology. He explains a way of life. He gives his particular point of view of that period of the mid-seventies, and he denies everything that is considered "punk" and in reality it isn't because there's no individuality.

Personally I liked so much the book because it's a topic that interests me a lot and I've learned many things I didn't know about his life and also about the punk movement. I recommend this book to people who are interested to know what punk really is.

NICE WEEKEND

I was waiting that Mònica sent me some photos, but I can't wait anymore, so today I'm going to talk about a weekend of a few weeks ago.

Mònica asked at us (Coni and me) if we wanted to go Barcelona that weekend, well, specifically Terrassa, where her dad lives. We wanted to go there a long time ago, so we didn't hesitate.

We arrived there on Friday night, so that day we didn't have much time to do anything. But on Saturday morning we got up early (very difficult for me), we had breakfast and we went to take the train to Barcelona city. I must say that while we where in the train I fell asleep jajaja. When we arrived there we couldn't stop. We were walking and walking, shopping and doing some stupid things, having a good time :). We just stopped to eat something. We know very well these zones of Barcelona, so we didn't got lost (something very unusual jajaja).

When it was late, we went to a bar for a while, then we went to the cinema to see "The curious case of Benjamin Button". I think it's an interesting movie, but a little bit long, and I was very tired, so I nearly fell asleep (but not!) jaja.

On Sunday morning we had to study (curiously) an English exam, so we studied a loooot (jojojo :P). For the rest, Sunday was a relax day , we were walking in Terrassa. I must say that we went to a stall where sells very good croissants, called "Croissants de París", they are so delicious, I think they're the best I've tasted in all my life.

It was such a perfect weekend, yeah. I want to repeat it! XDD

And how I always say, when I've photos I will post it!

FRIDAY

Well, it's Sunday afternoon and I have nothing to do so I decided to speak about Friday night. It was the first day of Carnival, so we decided to go to Roses to celebrate it. Also we had to celebrate Coni's birthday, so we decided to celebrate all at the same time. At first we went to Sebas's home, we ate potato chips and (San Jacobos?) for dinner, they were so delicious jajaja! We had no costumes, but we dressed in a silly way. For example, Mòni was wearing a blue wig, Coni was wearing a very weird dress that made me laugh a lot jajaja! Sebas was wearing a ridiculous dress, and I was wearing a very stupid sunglasses and a jester hat. We were prepared, so we went to Roses. There we had a lot of fun and we saw many more people and more costumes, it was so funny. Unfortunately, I lost my sunglasses and now I don't know very well where is my hat U_____U, always happens the same jajaja. But it doesn't matter. On Saturday I wanted to go St. Pere but I'd had to go alone so I stayed at home.

I've no pictures yet, I hope to have some soon!

That's all.

THIS IS ENGLAND

I want to talk about a film I saw quite time ago,but it shocked me and I liked it a lot.
The name of the film is "This is England".

It's about the skinhead movement from an anti-racist point of view.
This is England is about a boy of 12 years called Shaun. His father
dies and he moves with his mother to a new city. At first he doesn't like it,
but then a gang of skinheads help him and accept him in the band.
After a while, an old member of the band that has been in prison
appears with racist and nationalist ideas, and this leads to a discussion in the band, so they get separed. Shaun supports the ideas of the ex-member, but then things get complicated and he realizes that he has commited a mistake.

The film is very interesting and thoughtful, there are scenes that are very hard and sad,but I can also say it's a beautiful film by the way that the band of skinheads, treats and accepts the boy when he arrives at the city.

NEW YEAR 2009.

Well, today is 1rst of January, 2009, a new year has become, and I hope it would be better than the 2008, or, at least equal. I don't think it's a great change, because everything remains the same, it has not much meaning for me, but it's an occasion I can take for celebrate it and have a good time.

Yesterday was the last day in the year and I went to celebrate it.
At first, I went with my family at the house of a friends to have dinner. I ate very well, the food was very good. When it was almost twelve o'clock, I took twelve grapes for the "Campanades".
When the chimes played the twelve, I had to eat a grape each time it sounded, and up to twelve.
While I was eating the grapes I started to laugh, and I thought I was suffocating. It was funny jajaja!

After the Campanades I went to celebrate it with my friends in St. Pere, we were dancing (or something like jajaja) singing and being silly all the night (yeah, we also drank a few beers u_U). I enjoyed a lot this night, I can say that it's been a good year beginning, except that I lost my cell (grr), but it doesn't matter (well, it matters but I don't want to think about it XDD).

So, I can only say,

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

(and good hangover jajajaj :P)
