And finally here you have the last post in my blog ... of this year, of course.
I can't believe yet that I'd be able to fill all the posts, my topics are exhausted, and I don't know what to talk about. In fact I don't know about what I'll write next year.
I have to say that it's been quite difficult, I supose it's because during the day come to mind many ideas, but at the moment of writing I don't know how to start.
But I think it's been a good way to improve my English, because I had to write so much, so I had to look out many more words at the dictionary, and I learned many new words, and I also improved my writing fluency. In general my level has improved.

But I'm not exhausted only because of English. These last weeks have been very stressful. There are many exams to do and so much to study, and all these exams are very crucial.

To sum up, I can say I'm looking forward to start the summer and enjoy it. In fact I think I'll have to work, and I'll also have to work hard in the TDR, but it doesn't matter.
Well, I guess that's all ...
I'll write some day again!

LAST SUMMER

I am near the end of filling all the posts and, in fact, I don't know what to tell. Moreover, I'm sick since Thursday, and I'm spending my days at 38 degrees of fever.
Recently I was thinking about my last summer, and how I enjoyed it. So I decided to write about it.
In theory, last year I had to work all summer, but I was going to be 16 in August 18,it wasn't worth to work.
Immediatley I found friends with whom to spend the summer as Coni, Mònica, Sebas, Laura, and some more. The first thing we did was to go to the beach. Almost every day I was going to Empuriabrava to go to the beach, eating an ice cream, having parties, etc.
With Coni and Laura, we tried to slip in Doctor Loft music festival, to see Iggy Pop. In fact, it was like an adventure: we went through fields, hiding from the police, and we met a guy who wanted to slip in like us, and he knew everything and he had a strategy, so we went with him, but with a little suspicion. We went inside a kind of "tunnel", crossed the river ... Even when I think about it I laugh because people told us later that they were giving away free tickets ... It was hilarious anyway.
Later, Laura became ill for quite time, so we spent a long time without her. Mònica also had to leave with his father to Barcelona, so I spent many days with Coni and Sebas, going to their houses and the beach, with our donuts, and then we were going from their homes to mine, at the swimmingpool.
When Laura was recovered and Mònica went back, we went all together at Aquabrava. We were Laura, Coni, Sebas, Nicky, Monica and another friend. It was awesome! I enjoyed it so much! Although after going there, I got burned myself.
Thinking about it, I think we love water jajaja!

It was a very funny summer, I hope the next will be the same.

DISNEY MOVIES

I was thinking about all the movies I've seen in my childhood, and I've noticed that almost all are from Disney, so I've decided to talk about the 6 Disney films that I've seen more times.

- Pinocchio: Is about a carpenter who decides to make a puppet called Pinnochio, and a fairy makes the puppet come alive. The Pinnochio nose grows every time he lies. Finally, as a reward for being a good boy, the fairy turns him into a real boy

- Dumbo: Dumbo is an elephant that has a very big ears. Because of this, all the people laugh at him. Finally he discovers that those big ears have an advantage, he can use them to fly, something that any elephant can't do.

- Bambi: Bambi is a little deer, and one day some hunters kill his mum. Bambi must learn to survive and grow up with his friends.

- Peter Pan: Peter Pan lives in a world in which he never grows up. He meet Wendy and her brothers, and invites them into his world. There they have many adventures, until Wendy and her brothers have to go back to home, leaving Peter Pan.

- Lady and the Tramp: It's about two dogs, a dog that comes from a rich family, and another dog, which has no masters and he lives at the street. The masters of the dog have a son and they ignore the dog, so she falls in love with the poor dog.

- The Lion King: A little lion, whose name is Simba, has a very evil uncle, named Scar. His uncle kills Simba's dad, the king, to reign there. In the reign of Scar, Savannah becomes decadent, until Simba realizes that he killed his dad and he defeat Scar and takes the throne.

In fact, I could have mentioned many more films, like 101Dalmatians, The Fox and the Hound, Pocahontas .. but I'd never stopped.

Well, that's all for today.

CONI

Obviously, if I wrote about Monica and Laura, I couldn't forget Coni.

Coni is the most weird, unique, vegetarian and individualistic person I've ever known. And the person who I most agree. There's a kind of empathy between both of us.

When I met her it was an instant connection, something that had never happened to me with anyone else before. She came to the high school, and we were at the same class, but at first, I only spoke to her as a companion, I wasn't interested in becoming her friend, and she of course neither. Then we went on a trip to Italy. I talked with her a few times, but as anyone else. But there's a moment I remember, we were waiting for the boat that would take us back to home. We started talking, and after a while I imagined a very funny situation, I thought that nobody would understand it, but it didn't. I started laughing, and she understood what I was thinking, and also began to laugh a lot. Since that time we've never stopped laughing. It's a very strange situation, but I felt very good when I saw that she coincided with me. It was like finding a friend that I was missing. To put trust in her was so easy, we became inseparables immediately.
Is the person with who I laugh more, hours and hours without stopping. There're always some stupid things to laugh, we also had to face bad moments, but we always have each other. She's very honest and sincere, sometimes too much, but me too with her. She's always there when I need it most, we tell each other everything. Sometimes we argue, but it all ends in a laugh. We've our own games and paranoids.

I can't imagine how my life would be if we hadn't meet.

I always need her, and wherever she is, I don't feel alone if I have her by my side.

TIRAMISU

Today I'd like to talk about my favorite dessert lately, though probably I'll change my opinion soon ...
I think the tiramisu is very easy to make and also tasty.
To make a tiramisu you'll need the following ingredients:

- 250g mascarpone cheese
- Coffee
- 3 eggs
- Whiskey
- 300 g of biscuits
- Plain chocolate
- A sugar spoon for each egg

1. Take the eggs and separate yolks from the whites.
2. Beat the yolks with sugar until obtain some kind of white cream.
3. Add the mascarpone and mix.
4. Then add the whites to the mixture, and remove it very slowly to make it fluffy.
5. Swim biscuits in coffee with some whiskey, and put them into a mold, alternating a layer of biscuits with a layer of cream.
6. Grate the chocolate and put it on the top.
7. Put it in the fridge for three hours at least, but it's best not to eat until the next day.

Have a good meal!

LAST WEEKEND

I want to talk about this weekend. I went to Barraques in Figueres. The first day was Thursday. I had to meet Mònica and Sebas, and also Laura. But they wanted to come later because they didn't want to go to the fairs, so I went before with Coni to ride the attractions. First we ride one that we didn't like much because it was so loose, but then we ride the Boomerang and the Booster and it was more funny. At 12 we met Mònica, Sebas and Nicky and we went to see Mägo de Oz. We went in the middle of the crowd and we went forward slowly. In fact I received many blows, but it was worth. It was raining hard and I was too wet. Later I met Cristian and we ate chocolate with "churros" and caramel apples, it was so yummy. After a while I had to go to home.
But I went back there on Saturday. But this time it wasn't to see any concert of any group, It was just to go from barraques to fairs and from fairs to barraques.

I must say that both nights were very funny and I enjoyed the attractions, because I like them a lot.

And I'm tired of writting now...

Monday 6 April 2009

Today I want to talk about a very special friend for me, Mònica (alias Mòni, Mòki, Mono, Mokia...). I know her for about four years more or less. In fact I had seen her many times but I never talked to her. I still remember the first time that I talked to her. I lived in Empuriabrava and she also, and we were on the same bus. One day, I still don't know why, I sat beside her and we started to talk. But really it wasn't there where we met. In the second of ESO, we were at the same class, and we started talking more and more, and finally I discovered a new friend, who would become the most important.
I think that Mònica is a person who I always need, because it's a point of support. She knows everything about me and knows me perfectly. She knows always the just words to help me.In the worst moments I have always had her. I like to spend hours and hours talking with her, we have many things in common, and she always understands me and is always by my side. I don't know what I'd do without her, is an important part of my life. We've lived many things together, and I hope to live many more.

I think she deserved a post :)

And I'm going to post a very funny photo muajajajaja! (she'll kill me :S)

That's all.

ANIMAL MISTREATMENT

Today I'd like to talk about a problem that exists nowadays: the cruelty to animals. Most people are not aware of everything that millions and millions of animals around the world are suffering.
There are people who cause harm and suffering to animals. They aren't always people who hurt their own pets like dogs or cats, sometimes it's also for traditions or scientific investigations, for example the cockfighting, or the Spanish-style bullfighting (corridas de toros). In meat production and in the obtention of fur also implites suffering. In laboratories, they require smoking monkeys and rabbits until they die of lung cancer, for example, or they put makeup and cosmetics to rabbits in the eye until the eye ulcers. Only in USA, 64,000,000 of these animals die annually in medical experiments.
I think that circuses are also a sign of cruelty: animals live in very poor conditions, they live a half of their lives locked in cages, and in fact they are wild animals. And all this things are just to make a show to satisfy the yearning for greatness of people.

As everybody knows, animals can feel pain and anguish, and, unlike humans, animals cannot suppress their feelings.
We live in a society that mistreats animals for fun. I think we have no right to manipulate the lives of other animals. I think animal rights should be more recognized.

Well, that's all for today, I'll write more soon.

THE KWIK-E-MART

In the Simpsons TV serie, there's a supermarket, and its owner is an Indian man, his name is Apu. I discovered that several shopping centers in the United States have used this publicity to turn the supermarkets like in the series.
It's very funny 'cause there are many things equal: There's the same building with the same placard. Even the shopman looks like Apu. There's also the machine of the famous Squishees, which are called in Spanish "fresisuís". You can also buy the famous donuts from The Simpsons, with pink icing and colorful shavings. There's also the famous Krusty cereal, the KrustyO's. There are also figures of characters from the series, for example Homer, or the old man who was frozen in the refrigerator. In the walls are painted graffitis of "El Barto" (the Bart Simpson's signature) and caricatures of Skinner, the director of the school.
It's a very curious thing, I'd like to go there and be able to see it, I think it would be so funny.

Here you can see some photos:

Too much caffeine causes hallucinations

I recently read an article that I found very curious. It talks about caffeine efects on humans.
We all know the major effects of caffeine: decrease sleepiness and increase the ability to concentrate. But the article describes another curious effect: caffeine causes hallucinations.
A group of psychologists from Durham University, UK says that people who during the day consume the caffeine equivalent to seven cups of coffee are more likely to hear voices and suffering hallucinations. In fact, scientists say that auditory hallucinations are more common than we think: 3% of the population hears voices when there's no one really, but the risk is greater for people who consume coffee. Moreover, caffeine not only causes auditory hallucinations, they also see things that don't exist, like dead people. Scientists think that this is because coffee causes making more cortisol, the stress hormone.

So, if you think you see dead people or voices that doesn't exist, drink less coffee!

TDR

This week we had to decide the topic of research project. Personally I think it's a very difficult decision because I it's the most important project. With this project there are a lot of things that are critical to the future, so you can't choose any topic.
At first I didn't know which topic to choose, none of the list convinced me, so I thought to propose one. I wanted to do it on a topic related to health, 'cause I want to study medicine.
My father, who is a doctor, helped me. We thought about many topics, and finally I decided to do it about the general state of health, related to respiratory function. By a pulsioximetry (to measure the oxygen level in blood) and a peak flow (to measure lung capacity), you can see the health status and then compare. I can also relate it to age, sex and bad habits, and say the most common respiratory diseases.

It's a topic that interests me a lot, and I hope to do a good project.

My dog

The last term I wrote about my cat, but it isn't the only animal I have. I also have a dog.
I had a dog for a long time, but it disappeared and never reappeared again, so it was a very strong blow, and impacted me a lot because it was a dog that I loved so much. Sometime later my parents decided to have a cat, and this helped me a lot.
I never imagined I'd have a dog again, in fact I had thought about it many times, but I thought that my parents didn't want another dog.
The day my parents decided to adopt it, was a surprise. I still remember the moment the woman took off the dog from the cage; I thought that it wasn't for me. Then my mother gave it to me and I picked up the dog in arms. I still didn't believe it.
It's a beautiful dog, great dog. It's the Golden Retriever breed; it has grown a lot since it was a puppy. In April it'll be two years old. It has got a very dark eyes and the nose also. It’s quite large. It has the long gold hair. Whenever I come home it is always there to receive me with the queue moving, it's always enthusiastic, always eager to play. It always needs company, and is sometimes a bit nuisance. It's a very clever dog, and also very wolverine.
The cat and the dog know to live together. They've never fought. At first the cat was a little jealous, but not anymore. I love both in the same way.

Rotten: No Irish, No blacks, No dogs.

A few weeks ago I read a very interesting book, and I decided to talk about it.
The title of the book is No Irish, No Blacks, No dogs. Is an authorized autobiography of the singer of the punk group Sex Pistols, Johnny Rotten, whose real name is John Lydon. The title comes from a poster of one of the motels where the singer stayed during his tour of U.S.A. (he was born in Ireland, so it's curious).
Rotten narrates her life since he was a child until the separation of the Sex Pistols in 1979, in full U.S. tour. While he's telling his life, he also explains the history of the original punk, 'cause Sex Pistols were the forerunners of the movement in the UK. Not only the punk movement, also the philosophy and the ideology. He explains a way of life. He gives his particular point of view of that period of the mid-seventies, and he denies everything that is considered "punk" and in reality it isn't because there's no individuality.

Personally I liked so much the book because it's a topic that interests me a lot and I've learned many things I didn't know about his life and also about the punk movement. I recommend this book to people who are interested to know what punk really is.

NICE WEEKEND

I was waiting that Mònica sent me some photos, but I can't wait anymore, so today I'm going to talk about a weekend of a few weeks ago.

Mònica asked at us (Coni and me) if we wanted to go Barcelona that weekend, well, specifically Terrassa, where her dad lives. We wanted to go there a long time ago, so we didn't hesitate.

We arrived there on Friday night, so that day we didn't have much time to do anything. But on Saturday morning we got up early (very difficult for me), we had breakfast and we went to take the train to Barcelona city. I must say that while we where in the train I fell asleep jajaja. When we arrived there we couldn't stop. We were walking and walking, shopping and doing some stupid things, having a good time :). We just stopped to eat something. We know very well these zones of Barcelona, so we didn't got lost (something very unusual jajaja).

When it was late, we went to a bar for a while, then we went to the cinema to see "The curious case of Benjamin Button". I think it's an interesting movie, but a little bit long, and I was very tired, so I nearly fell asleep (but not!) jaja.

On Sunday morning we had to study (curiously) an English exam, so we studied a loooot (jojojo :P). For the rest, Sunday was a relax day , we were walking in Terrassa. I must say that we went to a stall where sells very good croissants, called "Croissants de París", they are so delicious, I think they're the best I've tasted in all my life.

It was such a perfect weekend, yeah. I want to repeat it! XDD

And how I always say, when I've photos I will post it!

FRIDAY

Well, it's Sunday afternoon and I have nothing to do so I decided to speak about Friday night. It was the first day of Carnival, so we decided to go to Roses to celebrate it. Also we had to celebrate Coni's birthday, so we decided to celebrate all at the same time. At first we went to Sebas's home, we ate potato chips and (San Jacobos?) for dinner, they were so delicious jajaja! We had no costumes, but we dressed in a silly way. For example, Mòni was wearing a blue wig, Coni was wearing a very weird dress that made me laugh a lot jajaja! Sebas was wearing a ridiculous dress, and I was wearing a very stupid sunglasses and a jester hat. We were prepared, so we went to Roses. There we had a lot of fun and we saw many more people and more costumes, it was so funny. Unfortunately, I lost my sunglasses and now I don't know very well where is my hat U_____U, always happens the same jajaja. But it doesn't matter. On Saturday I wanted to go St. Pere but I'd had to go alone so I stayed at home.

I've no pictures yet, I hope to have some soon!

That's all.

THIS IS ENGLAND

I want to talk about a film I saw quite time ago,but it shocked me and I liked it a lot.
The name of the film is "This is England".

It's about the skinhead movement from an anti-racist point of view.
This is England is about a boy of 12 years called Shaun. His father
dies and he moves with his mother to a new city. At first he doesn't like it,
but then a gang of skinheads help him and accept him in the band.
After a while, an old member of the band that has been in prison
appears with racist and nationalist ideas, and this leads to a discussion in the band, so they get separed. Shaun supports the ideas of the ex-member, but then things get complicated and he realizes that he has commited a mistake.

The film is very interesting and thoughtful, there are scenes that are very hard and sad,but I can also say it's a beautiful film by the way that the band of skinheads, treats and accepts the boy when he arrives at the city.

NEW YEAR 2009.

Well, today is 1rst of January, 2009, a new year has become, and I hope it would be better than the 2008, or, at least equal. I don't think it's a great change, because everything remains the same, it has not much meaning for me, but it's an occasion I can take for celebrate it and have a good time.

Yesterday was the last day in the year and I went to celebrate it.
At first, I went with my family at the house of a friends to have dinner. I ate very well, the food was very good. When it was almost twelve o'clock, I took twelve grapes for the "Campanades".
When the chimes played the twelve, I had to eat a grape each time it sounded, and up to twelve.
While I was eating the grapes I started to laugh, and I thought I was suffocating. It was funny jajaja!

After the Campanades I went to celebrate it with my friends in St. Pere, we were dancing (or something like jajaja) singing and being silly all the night (yeah, we also drank a few beers u_U). I enjoyed a lot this night, I can say that it's been a good year beginning, except that I lost my cell (grr), but it doesn't matter (well, it matters but I don't want to think about it XDD).

So, I can only say,

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

(and good hangover jajajaj :P)
